Scran ("we", "us", "our") cares about your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you join our waitlist, how we use it, and your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What data we collect

When you join the Scran waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address (required)
  • Your message about why you're interested in Scran (optional)

We do not collect additional personal data.

2. How we use your data

By joining the waitlist, you agree that we may use your data for the following purposes:

  • Add you to the Scran waitlist
  • Send occasional emails about Scran, including updates, progress, early access information, and opportunities to provide feedback
  • Understand interest in Scran to help us identify audiences and improve the product

We will never sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Where your data is stored

We use Loops to collect, store, and send emails. Loops acts as our data processor. You can review their full privacy policy.

International Transfer: Your data is transferred to and processed by Loops in the United States. To ensure your data is protected during this transfer outside of the UK/EEA, Loops relies on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), which provide appropriate legal safeguards.

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the legal basis of:

  • Consent — you actively choose to join the waitlist, and can withdraw your consent at any time

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as we have your consent or until:

  • You unsubscribe using the link in any email, or
  • You ask us to delete it

Once you unsubscribe, you won't receive further updates.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold
  • Ask us to correct or delete your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Unsubscribe from emails at any time (via the link provided)

7. How we protect your data

Loops provides secure infrastructure for storing and sending emails, including appropriate technical and organisational measures (TOMs). Only our small Scran team has access to your data on a need-to-know basis.
